Chateau Revelette Rouge 2020

LOOP LINE TASTING NOTES | At the northern end of Provence, well nestled in the hinterland and sheltered from the Mediterranean influence by the Sainte-Victoire mountain, Château Revelette is located in the coolest climate of the region on a old 15th century farmhouse. Born in Germany, Peter Fischer moved there in 1985, after studying oenology at the University of California at Davis.

The geographical position and the altitude mean that there are large temperature differences. With the eleven grape varieties grown organically and spread over 17 plots, like a painter and his palette of colors, Peter has a nice diversity with which to compose perfectly balanced wines imbued with sincerity.

The red of the Château is a pure delight, with its notes of ripe blackcurrant, truffle and liquorice. It is a crisp, fresh wine, ideally nervous for a red from the south, with tannins extracted with skill.
