LOOP LINE TASTING NOTES | Cims de Porrera Clàssic Priorat 2015 is a powerful and elegant red wine from Catalonia’s prestigious Priorat region, crafted mainly from old-vine Cariñena (Carignan) grapes. Deep garnet in color, it opens with intense aromas of ripe black fruits, blackberries, and jammy notes, layered with dark chocolate, roasted coffee, honey, sweet vanilla, and a distinctive mineral and balsamic character. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with soft, ripe tannins, integrated oak, and a fresh, balanced acidity that leads into a long, persistent finish. Aged for 14 months in large wooden barrels and further refined in bottle, this wine shows excellent aging potential and pairs beautifully with hearty meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses.
