Back in 2016, “Fine Arts Club” was a living room experiment that had nothing to do with fine art and everything to do with pouring wine until the night caved in. What started as a half-serious excuse for my friends and I (none of whom worked in wine) to drink like we did turned into low-grade debauchery with a very misleading name.

Now, the irony lives on... only this time, the bottles are higher calibre, and the chaos is slightly more contained.

Bordheaux’s Fine Arts Club is a monthly gathering for people who love wine, but hate the theatre of wine school. Expect small groups, serious bottles, and unserious conversation. Think of it as a wine education society in disguise: you’ll leave knowing why Riesling matters, but you’ll never once be asked to sit through a slide deck.

For $36, you’ll get:

• Three (3) proper pours (2oz each) of thoughtfully chosen (fancy even!) wines

• A handout with producer notes, so you can feign intellectual superiority next time someone brings up Jura at a dinner party

This isn’t art. This isn’t school. It’s just wine, discussed with the reckless abandon of a Fine Arts degree.

Small, intimate, 11 seats only. Buy bottles if you love them. Talk trash if you don’t.
